James Rolshouse

Private legal practice

Attorney Rolshouse has been in private legal practice helping clients and victims with their claims and issues since 1983. Attorney Rolshouse was admitted to practice law in the state of Minnesota and before the U.S. District Court. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota in 1971 and his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 1983.

12 years in the field

As a medic in the U.S. Army, and then as a civilian paramedic, Attorney Rolshouse spent 12 years in the field aiding the sick and injured. This concern for those who have suffered injury is carried forward the way he practices law. “I don’t put on the bandages any longer, but I am still involved in helping people put their lives back together,” he said. “The effects of injuries go far beyond the initial emergency stage; what is done after the first stage of the injury is often more complicated than the medicine involved.”

Combat tour in Iraq

Attorney Rolshouse spent a 16 month combat tour in Iraq as the senior medic for the 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 34th Infantry Division. In 2007 the 34th ID was redeployed to the U.S. after serving the longest combat tour in Iraq of any unit, either reserve or active duty. He retired from the Guard in September of 2008.
